When I tell y'all this is my favorite sushi spot in the Bay I genuinely mean that!!! I have not found a better place than RnR sushi and I don't want to lol. Every time I come I have to get the Floresta roll, it is a must. Staff is always super friendly but I usually place a to go order. When I do come inside and dine in, I will say the restaurant is small but inviting, I recommend sitting in the back to get a little more space and be surrounded by nice decor :)

Came here for Galentine's dinner and had a wonderful time. It was a Wednesday though so it wasn't as packed (perfect for our large party). Since it was raining outside, I opted for something warm instead of sushi, so I got the spicy chicken bowl. It was a really big portion, and exactly what I was craving. It came with rice, a great salad, and spicy chicken teriyaki. Though it was good, it just wasn't anything special to me. Would I come again? Absolutely!

Delicious sushi with very generous portions. Came here for dinner on a Sunday night and had about a 30 minute wait since there is limited seating. You could put your name on the waitlist and walk around the area depending on when you come in to eat. You can also look through the menu as you wait. Once seated, getting your food is a quick turn around time. I ordered the Island Roll and my partner ordered an Aloha Bowl. The roll that came out was bigger than expected and packed with 10 slices. Saucy and savory, the kind of roll for when you want a filling meal. Solid sushi place that you would expect around the bay area. The Aloha Bowl was also very large and we easily took some of it home as leftovers. The tuna in the bowl was standard and plentiful.

Dress warm. It can be a little chilly inside, but don't be detoured. Everything in the menu is great. Service is great. Parking can be tricky but if you can be patient and walk a few blocks this may be the sushi spot for you. Tomago is solid. Lots of crab in several rolls.

Sushi is delicious! Portions are beyond generous (massive). Service very fast. We ordered 1) Aloha roll, 2) salmon lovers roll, and the 3) rock n roll bowl. My hungry 14 year old who can eat double the amount of an adult man could not finish his bowl. That is a first for us. Highly recommend!

My wife and I visited RnR Sushi & Bowls yesterday afternoon for lunch after discovering that both Geta and Ebiko were closed. While we were a bit bummed -- since those are two of our favorite sushi spots, RnR Sushi & Bowls had solid reviews on Yelp so we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 12:40 p.m., and with just one other table occupied, we were seated immediately. Between the two of us, we ordered the Dragon, Alameda, and California rolls. The service was very prompt -- our food arrived in about 10 minutes after we placed our order. As other reviews have mentioned, the portions here are *huge*. The rolls are larger than your typical sushi rolls, and while we were definitely hungry, we still ended up packing a few pieces of sushi to-go. The variety of fish slices topping the Alameda roll tasted fresh and had good texture. The eel on the Dragon roll was perfectly seared and had a generous amount of unagi sauce. What really caught me off guard though, was how good the California roll was. Most places miss the mark with their California rolls -- the imitation crab is often watery, freezer-burned, or bland. Not here. The crab was flavorful, and the avocado was shockingly creamy -- especially impressive for mid-December. I'd love to know where they're sourcing their avocados from. Overall, I'd definitely come back to satisfy a sushi craving. At around $60 after tax and tip for the two of us, the price is pretty standard for sushi in the Bay Area, and the quality and portion sizes make it worth it.

As a Bay Area native, I pride myself on knowing and having eaten through all of the best places to eat for sushi throughout. RnR Sushi & Bowls take the spot for the best sushi roll restaurant to go to in Oakland and the many reviews here echo that sentiment. No matter what roll you're getting they're huge and worth the price. I finally had their chicken teriyaki bowl the other day and it's worth every penny. Don't forget to make it combo for $5 more. They say it's just 6 pieces for the California roll but it ended up being 8. $6 if you're feeling sashimi instead. I usually get the 49er roll and the dragon roll, and that's usually two meals in itself. The first time I ordered 3 rolls and that was a mistake just because of the portion sizes. Their backyard area is nice to sit in when the weather is. I make my way over from SF to eat here and it's worth the drive every time. Service is always fast, friendly and prompt. One block away from Fentons so ice cream is a must every time as well.

Sushi- 5 stars Chicken karaage - 2 stars :(( Service - 4 stars Definitely casual night out type of spot... I can't decide if I felt cramped or if it fit the vibe to have a tiny table squished along the wall... The rolls we got were great-- the Alameda roll and this other tempura + salmon roll. It was supposed to be spicy but wasn't spicy at all. But they're generous with the portions and don't put a lot of rice which is why I give 5 stars. I LOVE chicken karaage and am always on the lookout for good ones. RnR's "chicken karaage" is more like popcorn chicken?? And the sauce was literally just katsu sauce. Honestly a big disappointment, but at least they give you a lot of chicken. Service was okay- since we came towards closing I think the waitress (only one for the whole place) was really busy so I understand. I'm coming back for the rolls :) but not the chicken :(

Each time I'm here it makes me happy. The service is amongst the best and the food quality is great. This Outing was a DoorDash pickup for Kraft Kevin roll and. chirashi Both items ordered via app but I didn't get the confirmation email so felt unsettled walking the the counter. Asked for my order and Boom!!!! Everything was there. Got it home and enjoyed to the fullest.
